Back to School supplies needed for Mr. Hesman’s math courses

AUG/SEP 2018 NEWSLETTER

As calculators will be used in class and on assigned work, each student should have one of their own ( as loaners may not be available).  Simple scientific calculators can be purchased at most stores for under $10.  If a student plans to continue through the entire Boyer Valley math courses, I strongly suggest each individual get a graphing calculator of their own.  I would recommend a TI-83, TI-83 plus, and TI-84 (range in price, but all near $100) or the Casio fx-9750G plus (around $50) as all of these are allowed on the ACT and SAT tests.  The TI calculators are recommended for use by many colleges.
